TV News host avoids child support in divorce

When a couple decides to go their separate ways it is typically a difficult process. No one in San Antonio gets married with a plan to divorce. However, divorce happens and when a couple decides it’s time to split up there are several things that come into play in that decision, including spousal support, child custody and child support.

The host of a popular cable news program has recently settled his divorce proceedings with his soon-to-be ex-wife. A recent report revealed several interesting aspects of the couple’s settlement agreement, including the fact that Joe Scarborough, the host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” earns jus over $99,000 a week from his show. However, according to the court documents, Mr. Scarborough will not be paying any child support.

The TV host will pay his wife $30,000 per month for five years, then $25,000 for two more years. Mr. Scarborough also reportedly paid his wife $150,000 up front, and according to court documents he pay the bill for the mortgage on their home. The couple will also share joint legal custody of their two children and they are still living together with the kids at this time. Mr. Scarborough’s wife also agreed to acknowledge that her husband was faithful, devoted and committed.

When a couple decides to split there are often many things that need to be determined. Many times it takes the assistance of attorneys and a judge to help a couple come to agreeable divorce terms. Anyone in the San Antonio area facing divorce should considering speaking with a divorce attorney today.
