Man battling for custody of his daughter after nearly six years

Divorce by itself is no picnic, but when it comes to the battle over children, the process can become extremely difficult for all the parties involved. When a couple with children in San Antonio splits up they can resolve child custody matters together. However, if they cant agree on a plan then the courts will most likely have to get involved.

A man continues to battle for the custody rights of his daughter after she was given up for adoption as a baby by the birth mother without his consent. According to reports, while she was till pregnant, the birth mother traveled to Utah, gave birth prematurely and signed an agreement to turn over the custody rights to her brother and sister-in-law.

The father learned of the birth a short time later and contested the adoption process. Eventually, the Utah Supreme court found that the man was denied a say in his daughter’s adoption, which was unfair. However, at the time of the ruling he admitted that being able to parent his daughter would still be an uphill battle. The adoptive couple and the birth father continue to battle over custody rights, although both have agreed that they all should be involved in the girl’s life in some way.

This case is a great example of how difficult and emotional a child custody battle can be. It is never easy for anyone involved in a custody battle, as so many factors need to be considered. Anyone who is facing this kind of situation in San Antonio should probably contact a competent child custody lawyer as soon as possible.
